At Southside Place Animal Hospital, we believe that we provide essential medical care for ill and injured animals and also serve an essential public health function by providing care for pets that protects humans from organisms that animals and people can share. For this reason, we will continue to operate, as long as we feel we can do so in a way that is safe for our patients, clients and staff.
In order to be as safe as possible, we will implement several new policies:
1. We will restrict access to our lobby. We ask that clients wait in their cars in our parking lot and call our main number (713-349-0718) when they arrive at our facility.
If you are dropping a pet off, we will meet you at your car and take your pet from you.
If you have a scheduled appointment, we will still ask you to remain in your vehicle; we will take your pet into the clinic, and the veterinarian can speak to you on the phone while we examine/treat your pet.
If you need to pick up medication or pet food, please call us when you arrive in the parking lot and we will bring your items to your car.
2. We will limit our payments to credit card transactions.
3. To best allocate our resources, we will no longer have office hours on Saturdays. We will adjust our hours as needed throughout these uncertain times.
We ask that you be patient with us during this stressful period. Please know that our mission of providing exceptional care for our patients and exceptional customer service for our clients has not changed. We are here for you and will do everything in our power to help our community stay safe, healthy and sane! Don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you have.
